The USB Protector has been designed to address
the protection needs of Universal Serial Bus ports. The compact,
easy-to-install Products design offers ³plug and play²
capability while advanced, silicon avalanche diode technology provides
protection from surge energies, electrostatic discharge and noise
components. These fully shielded, high-speed, high energy, self-resetting
devices offer mission-critical reliability in the protection of
workstations, printers, scanners, digital telco equipment, and a
host of other peripherals using either type ³A² or type
³B² connectivity. The PCMCIA and CATV products incorporate
a ground pin for convenient use on AC outlets instead of the traditional
green ground wire on other lines.
